The different names of calamus are 'sweet flag', 'vacha', 'vaja', 'Baje', 'vasambu' and is a native to India, Our baje is grown organically and is sourced from a small organic farmer based in karnataka.
Calamus root(baje) has a pungent earthly aroma, the flavour being initially sweet, similar to a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger with a bitter aftertaste.

Baje has many uses
1. Baje can be used in wardrobes and cupboards to keep insects, bugs, mites, silverfish at bay. Place one to two sticks of baje in each shelf or rack along side the clothes instead of naphthalen balls.
2. Have baje infused water will help in stomatch related problems like gas, constipation etc. Infuse a stick in cold water overnite or few hours and consume the water.The above water helps in travel sickness to.
3. Make a paste of baje and neem powder and apply as hair pack for lice treatment.
4. Baje can be used to keeps grains, pulses, dals etc free from weevils and bugs. Place baje sticks in your grain containers or sacks and save your grains from infestation
